I would expect nothing less from the insane world of Google.

Why is this stuff on LinkedIn to begin with? It’s an aha gotcha moment if they took issue with your reply and not with the original post. But that’s the double standard two tier enforcement that’s still prevailing in many elite circles. Don’t bother analyzing the kafkaesque stuff.

Glad I read this

Corona drama killed my indoor plant business

I'd like to go back to it and wanted to take the approach I do here on sub stack of calling out the same that you do. Have 700 connections and will use it tentatively, the schmooze bland vapid empty corporate speak that I see communicated indicates that it sucks still.

My perfect world would be to design a bio that states if you have any of the derangement syndromes plaguing the planet at the moment I won't do no business with you...

In addition to hammering hard on the islamo Nazis that you pointed to that proliferate here on substack, at least here I can win and vanquish the bitches, it's remarkable how easily they fade off and the nachas it brings me is majestic, 5785 onward.

Last year I received an promotion from Alignable which announced that they were very locally based as opposed to Metro based.

The city in my title is where I dwell generally and am blessed to not have to leave the vicinity into urban Minneapolis with its shrines to St George and vibrant diversity and wanted to keep it that way.

it has not turned out to be the case with random rinky dink small businesses from all over the Metro and it's AI operated do nothing nearly dysfunctional corporate chat.

Is there a good business Network that I'm unaware of?

Folks I know who joined the chamber of commerce have gotten burned by fellow chamber of commerce members but the demographics of my local one are appealing...

Fwiw I can only see two comments out of 10 which has been happening occasionally lately using the app.

Medium has gone down the same ugly road as Linkedin. It's becoming a badge of honour to get booted off these platforms.

How funny that I was just on Linked In today, scrolling through endless posts about “we should never chant for anyone’s death, BUT… have you see the war crimes of the IDF?” Leo Perlman posted a lengthy note about Glastonbury and the very first comment underneath was “Do you agree the IDF has committed war crimes against women and children?” Posted by a progressive liberal hyperwoke Creative Director. The platform is nothing but a data syphoning time waster that leads to absolutely nothing. Badge of honour to have your account revoked.

I deleted my LinkedIn along with all of my other social media accounts shortly after October 7th. I always disliked LinkedIn—not for antisemitism per se, but because of the phony baloneys who posted toxic career “advice” that they deserved to be punched in the face for (“I always put in 110%! Why don’t you?!”). After Oct 7th those same a-holes started posting performative bs about the Israel-Hamas War, which was completely outside of their professional realm. Jesus Christ, you’re a project manager in corporate America, not an expert on the ME! How about if you work for Amazon, speaking up on this platform on behalf of the actual Amazon employee—your colleague— who was being held hostage? That would make too much sense. LinkedIn is a platform for losers and ass-kissers, nothing more.

Linked In sucks. They banned me for being politically-incorrect. I asked them to remove my profile. They said I would have to show them my driver license first. To hell with them!

It's a Hallmark, is it not? Bizarre distortions of reality, so pernicious and widespread we almost don't know what to make of it.

Except we do.

LinkedIn sucks. My company essentially makes us be on it, but it's completely useless. I've never read any of my connections has posted, and it doesn't even work for the purpose we are on it (recruiting). My assistant goes in and "likes" posts for me, so clients will keep me "top of mind," but even though I consistently beat my quotas, quarter after quarter, and year after year, LinkedIn has never had anything to do with it. It's irrelevant.

LinkedIn sucks. I thought it was a source for all my competitors to find my customers I could go on online, but I don’t know why anybody pays $45 a month.

LinkedIn is in Ireland.

I wonder if our hate speech laws can be used against the company.

THAT is a fascinating and compelling question! I would happily join an effort to explore that! Nothing makes a lawyer happier than seriously deep pockets to sue! Count me all the way in!

They have 2,000 employees here.

It's the biggest office outside the USA.
