I don’t think anyone in my family, going back generations, ever had a gun. Except maybe my poor widowed grandmother who was scared all the time; when she died we found a small pistol. When I took it to a gun shop the owner told me it a “starting pistol.” God knows where she got it.
Be that as it may, I respect the Constitutional right of citizens to own guns.
Just as I respect the right of people to say outrageous, foul, ugly, and ignorant things, even those things that frustrate, annoy, shock, or upset me.
As I’ve said before, there is nothing plainer or more unequivocal than the language and intent of the 1st Amendment. No arguing over the placement or lack of commas. No confusion about what the words mean, no question of what constitutes “the government.” Unlike Harris and Hillary and their supporters, I’ve never been to law school, but I can read plain English.
The Founders would have been as dismissive of the Left’s concept of “credentials” as we are. They intended normal citizens to read and understand the Constitution.
James Madison wrote in the Federalist papers that he wanted the citizens to always outgun the government’s standing army.
He would be appalled that I don’t own an F-16 and an Abrams tank - the damned government does, so we should at least be at parity.
Great article. Anyone who thinks that "misinformation" and "hate speech" should be banned is clueless about free speech and the First Amendment. And they are usually also the very ones promoting misinformation and hate speech --- as we saw in both Russia hoaxes.

They are lousy at governing, but they mean to rule.
A lot of leftists will be dead before that happens
Bravo! So many choice words expressing fundamental values.

Nice job, Christopher.
Gun owner and carrier in commifornia here. I can tell you it will be very ugly if any bureaucrat comes in here trying to disarm me.
Yup, it's because they are statists/etatists - those who are for omnipotent government and powerless citizens.
