I can't even imagine having enough money to waste it like that. And even if I did, why would I want to spend it to let some dirtbag get away with committing a violent crime? There are plenty of good charities out there begging for support. I don't get it.

How many of those 2,537 people actually showed up for trial, and how many skipped bail? If the purpose of bail is to insure that defendants show up for trial, but a significant number skip bail, then the fund is not fulfilling its core function. Maybe their 501(c)(3) status should be reevaluated.
