Israel Must Destroy Hamas
Anything less is defeat and a moral and strategic disaster for all mankind. Oh, and approximately 1,600 U.S. Federal employees should be fired and tried for treason.
Hamas is an evil blight on humanity. Period. Whatever bizarre propaganda they spin, their leaders are pure evil, living in Doha and Istanbul, enjoying at least $11 billion in wealth accumulated largely from well-meaning but naively stupid Useful Idiots in the “international community” while they place the people of Gaza in direct danger.
On 7 October 2023, the cowardly “soldiers” of these evil scum penetrated Israeli territory to rape, torture, murder and kidnap 1,600+ innocent, unarmed Jews and anyone who “collaborates” with the Jews, which by their definition is anyone living or visiting Israel.
Israel has properly from every conceivable standpoint set out to destroy this evil terrorist movement. No other nation has ever been asked to “show restraint” after its people were slaughtered in such a barbaric, premeditated fashion, with cowardly scum filming themselves murder innocent people, calling their parents in Gaza, chanting “Allahu Akbar” while excitedly telling their parents, “Dad! I killed10 Jews!,” in a weirdly evil, dystopian version of a normal person calling home to say, “I got the promotion!”
After a few days of heavy bombardment of Gaza, Israeli troops moved into Gaza to eradicate every member and supporter of Hamas and to liberate the hostages. That is not only the absolutely moral thing to do, but the right thing to do from a national security standpoint. Any casualties in Gaza are the fault of the evil scum of Hamas who began this conflict. Period. Full stop.
On October 9th, I predicated that within a week, “the world” - meaning the annoying Leftist chattering classes and the Jew Hating, totalitarian-dominated cesspool known as “the United Nations” - would start demanding the Israelis stop the war. The whiny supposed reason would be “the poor children in Gaza,” the same kids that Hamas uses as human shields.
No one asked the Allies in 1941-45 to “have a humanitarian ceasefire so the Nazis can regroup and buy more weapons,” or to “not invade Japan because Japanese children will be killed.” Moral clarity places the blame where it deserves to lie - with the evil people who started the war with an unprovoked attack.
Yet here we are. The Israelis paused their assault so the evil scum of Hamas could release a few hostages. Not all the hostages. No. Of course not. Their evil game is to run the clock out and hope “the world” persuades the United States to “go wobbly,
in the famous phrasing of Lady Thatcher to O.G. Bush. Former Israeli Ambassador to to the U.S. Michael Oren is concerned about the time dimension1 of this war, which Israel needs to win swiftly.
Mr. Oren hears several clocks ticking at once. A short cease-fire won’t slow any of them, and it will exacerbate some of their pressures. There is the “ammo clock”: The IDF needs to be resupplied consistently with U.S.-made advanced munitions. There is the “reservist clock”: Israel has mobilized an army equivalent to those of Britain and France combined; its young men and women, he says, form “the backbone of our high-tech economy.” There is the “economic clock”: Foreign investment and tourism have collapsed, and Israel is burning money on the war. There is the “humanitarian clock”: Footage continues to show civilian casualties and more than a million displaced Gazans.
Israel needs to stop these clocks to survive. The Biden administration should create time and diplomatic space for Israel’s forces to break Hamas. That means preventing the terrorists from setting the timetable in the Gaza war, letting Israel strike Hezbollah as necessary, and re-establishing American deterrence against Iranian-sponsored rocket attacks. It also means rethinking America’s Iran strategy.
Israel’s leaders, Mr. Oren among them, made the mistake of believing Hamas could be bought off with Qatari cash and work permits. The Obama administration, he says, “made the same mistake” about Iran. The Biden administration, which transferred $6 billion to Iran to secure the release of five American hostages in September and allowed sanctions on Iran’s missile technology to lapse, is under the same delusion. The Democrats’ long campaign to escape the Mideast by placating Iran has “completely boomeranged” in “abject failure,” Mr. Oren says. The U.S. has been dragged back into the region by Iranian-sponsored aggression.
I am of the strong opinion that we are in the beginning months of WWIII, largely from a detailed reading of the causes, events, actions and reactions that comprised WWI and WWII. The US had best get our act together swiftly if those of us who value Western Civilization would like to see it survive, never mind emerge victorious. Make no mistake - what happens to Hamas right now is a massively indicative harbinger of what will happen as WWIII unfolds.
Israel’s greatest threat right now is the influence of career bureaucrat Jew Haters in the American State Department and other agencies. The Wall Street Journal has maintained at least a modicum of its former rigorous objectivity, and we can be thankful they have done so, so we know this2 about the people whose salaries we pay:
The Biden administration faces a wave of internal dissent against its support of Israel. On Nov. 14, more than 500 staff members and political appointees from about 40 government agencies sent a joint letter to President Biden criticizing his administration’s policy on the Gaza war, according to the New York Times.
It was the latest of several protest letters. The Times reported that the administration has received similar messages, including three internal memos addressed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and a letter “signed” by more than 1,000 employees of the Agency for International Development. The State Department requires that employees sign their names to dissent cables, but the other two letters have no signatures. The Times reported that these government employees wrote anonymously out of “concern for our personal safety and risk of potentially losing our jobs.”
The internal memos, two of which were sent during the first week of the war, called on Mr. Biden to press for an immediate cease-fire. One State Department memo, Axios reported, accused the president of “spreading misinformation.” Signed by 100 State Department and Agency for International Development employees, the memo said members of the White House and National Security Council showed a “clear disregard for the lives of Palestinians.”
The deplorable, horrible, treasonous misbehavior of horrible unelected bureaucrats must become a fire-able and frankly prosecutable offense. These unaccountable clowns have gotten way too big for their britches. No one seems to have asked them to read the Constitution. If they had done so, they would know they are employed to serve the wishes and commands of the elected President.
There are only two honorable things to do if you happen to be a federal employee who disagrees with policy:
Shut up, do your job and obey the policies set forth by the elected President.
Quit.
Any third option - such as disagreeing publicly, or disobeying orders - is treason.
I am curious. Have any similar number of federal employees signed such letters accusing the President and other Americans of having a “clear disregard for the lives of [any number of groups being killed across the world during the last three years]”? No one has been marching on college campuses screaming “Free Eritrea!” and those same 1,600 Federal employees have been cheering the war in Ukraine which kicked off with the bombing of a maternity hospital.
Israel needs to cleanse the world of the evil terrorists sworn to their annihilation. The United States needs to do the right thing by our ally. We need to provide all the ammunition and political support required to end this horrible pestilence once and for all. If anyone bothered to read the Hamas charter, they’d realize that in their minds, once all the Jews in the world are dead, it’s time to eradicate the Christians.
Every single asshole in the US bureaucracy that signed those letters had better hold on for the next Republican Administration, when they will be thrown out on their asses, the un-Constitutional nonsense about their illegal “union” be damned.
I of course hope the Biden Administration fires every evil one of them, but if not, they had better not last one damned hour after Inauguration. We cannot run a country without borders, and we cannot tolerate treason from our employees.
Israel is our staunchest ally and the only democracy in the Middle East, beset on all sides and attacked constantly by Jew Haters around the world. The very least any of our allies should expect is that we will be there for them in their darkest hour.
