Taxpayer dollars are being used to fight "anticompetitive" $10,000 handbags
This is what wingnut Lina Khan is blowing money you were forced to borrow from the Chinese on.
Most Americans don’t even know her agency exists. The Wall Street Journal opinion page has a wonderful piece about the psychotic waste of money that is the Federal Trade Commission.
It’s hard not to chuckle at the Federal Trade Commission’s lawsuit last week seeking to block luxury fashion firms Tapestry and Capri from merging in the name of protecting America’s working class. Perhaps in Chair Lina Khan’s elite circles folks who shop at Jimmy Choo think of themselves as the proletariat.
Go read the piece. But overall, this lunatic class warrior is blowing millions of dollars trying to prevent two luxury goods companies from merging. Antitrust law was rooted in the idea that a monopoly would raise prices on things normal Americans need in their daily lives.
I don’t think ridiculous female peacocking adornments costing $20,000 fit into the category of average American family must-haves.
This sort of madness is why I wrote my book. We can take back our nation from these idiots. It just takes a little focus and showing the f*&% up to vote.
