One more idiot, er, Member of Congress wants to steal from the blue-collar workers he pretends to champion.
Dan Goldman has me on his email list. He sent me this idiocy which I comment on line by line, as a palate-cleansing exercise for me - and educational material - for you.
Dan is worth $250 million or so. He is not using his own money to pay off the student loan debts of deadbeats who want us, the American taxpayer, to cover their bills. Nope! He is really proud of insisting that Joe Biden go through with stealing money from hardworking families - ever after the Supreme Court said it was illegal - to pay off the student loans of lazy morons who just, y’know, would rather not pay off their financial obligations.
He sent me this email, which I have pasted below in total with my comments.
My colleagues in the Congressional Progressive Caucus and I have made student debt cancellation a priority.
Hi Christopher,
My colleagues in the Congressional Progressive Caucus and I have made student debt cancellation a priority.
Of all the myriad serious problem facing this nation - $35 TRILLION in official Treasury debt; another $40+ TRILLION in unfunded pension liabilities and future spending already contracted but not paid for; millions of lawbreaking border jumpers being given free food, housing and mobile phones by the taxpayers while they beat cops and get released without bail; crumbling infrastructure; a series of wars overseas which are only growing and are likely going to come to a city street here in America any day now; scandalous waste and pointless bureaucracy costing us billions for ‘healthcare’ that gets worse daily - Dan and his “progressive” pals think it is a priority to take scarce taxpayer dollars from the 56% of Americans who did not go to college to just give it to deadbeats who don’t want to pay back the loans they voluntarily took out.
That right there summarizes my disgust with these evil parasites. All of the problems I cited above - with the exception of wars - are the product of Congress’s creation. So too are ballooning education costs - which would not exist if former Democrats had not waded into “subsidizing” higher education, which drove up costs, which led to this vast amount of student debt to begin with.
But let’s go on, shall we? Dan has a great deal to say about how he likes wasting other people’s money on deadbeats to buy their votes.
I proudly supported President Biden’s plan to cancel up to $20,000 in student loan debt for 43 million people. After the Supreme Court struck down this plan, I swiftly called on President Biden to use every tool available to him to get this critical relief to American families.
After Biden’s terrible idea of forcing some Americans to pay off the debts of other Americans for no good reason that has ever been presented, the Supreme Court did something useful and nixed that plan. Did Dan take the Constitutional Hint? No! Of course not! The slim Democrat majority hinges on pitting Americans against each other, so of course hardworking plumbers and construction workers should pay off the college loan of some Marxist asshole who majored in Comparative Intersectional Victimhood and is too busy marching in the streets supporting Hamas’s murder of Jews to get a job.
I commend President Biden for not giving up the fight. He most recently cancelled $5 billion in loans for teachers, nurses, and firefighters – and announced a major new initiative.
Starting this month, if you took out less than $12,000 in loans and have been in repayment for 10 years, ALL of your debt will be canceled.
That’s right – your loan balance could go down to zero. For many others, monthly payments will be drastically reduced.
To get that relief and access other ways to bring down your monthly loan payments, you need to be enrolled in the Saving on A Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan. This is the same plan that ensures no borrower who makes less than $15 an hour will have to make any student loan payments. It will also make sure that interest doesn't pile up and increase your debt, and that your spouse's income can't be used to drive up your monthly payment.
How great is this? Rather than the market realizing that if a college degree didn’t get you a job paying more than $15 per hour, maybe whatever degree you earned in college is not worth it, Dan wants to be sure if you studied Intersectional Frisbee with a minor in Why White People Suck, more little Marxists with zero marketable skills can continue to pursue Leftist indoctrination on the taxpayer’s tab.
Oh, and lest you be married to an investment banker making $500,000 per year, don’t worry about it! You don’t have to forego the Couples Package at Coachella this year! That’s right! For the only time ever in Federal history, a married couple is not a legal unit, so your stinking rich 0.5% tax bracket salary spouse will not prevent you from taking $12,000 or more from your fellow taxpayers!
Sign up for the SAVE Plan today so you get this relief before your next payment is due.
The SAVE Plan is providing critical relief to American families – that’s why I introduced legislation called the Codifying SAVE Plan Act, to enshrine this historic student loan repayment plan into federal law, protecting these regulations from rollbacks by future presidential administrations and shoring them up so they can’t be struck down by extremist federal courts.
You know what never occurs to Dan and the Progressive Caucus? Providing critical relief to American families by just slashing taxes and removing regulatory deadweight drags on the economy. That would stop the government from taking money from American families every paycheck, so those families would have more money to begin with. Nope! Why restrict the government’s intrusion on individual freedom? That’s not how Collectivist Statist Progressives manufacture problems they then “solve” with someone else’s money!
Dan is spending political time to “enshrine this historic student loan repayment plan into federal law” so “extremist federal courts” cannot block Democrats from stealing from one American (hopefully a Republican) to just give it to another American (who presumably votes Democrat) whenever Dan and Joe like.
I'm honored to be your representative in Congress, and I will continue fighting for student loan debt cancellation.
We want to know what you think!
Does Congress have an obligation to help Americans afford their student loan payments?
Taking this survey will sign you up for future news and updates from my office.

For what it is worth - which is nothing - I hit “No” on his little question above. The link was blocked and flagged by my cybersecurity system. Yup - a link provided by a Congressman is a security risk. It’s almost too poetically perfect to be true.
Q: Tell me you’re an asshole without telling me you’re an asshole.
A: “I’m worth $250 million and I want people making $60,000 per year to pay off the student loans of a 26-year-old lawyer making $120,000 per year, married to someone making $5 million per year.”
Vote accordingly, my friends.
Then they have the audacity to say we owe this money! We the American 🇺🇸 people have to pay this back! I never said go ahead and spend it, put it n your pockets, give some to Ukraine, China, Taiwan, Israel, and back in there pockets! Inside trading is rampant and the lobbyists are making laws in this country! It needs to be fixed NOW, not next time! If the president has term limits, everyone in the Government needs to have 8 year term limits! Everyone, FBI, CIA, NSA, Secret Services, everyone!
