Government tyrants in Oregon torture a biodynamic organic small dairy farmer on behalf of Big Dairy
Have these people no shame? Institute for Justice is fighting to end this abuse.
Madness. Massive dairy operations pour thousands of gallons of wastewater into the environment daily, so governments rationally regulate how those massive agribusinesses handle their waste runoff.
A small dairy produces 5 gallons of wastewater per day, and all the cow manure goes right back on the grazing fields as fertilizer. There is no environmental risk associated with smallholder operations like this. Quite the opposite; these operations enrich and strengthen the biodiversity and natural resilience of our environment.
Oregon wants to regulate small farms like large commercial dairies. Why? Not because of real environmental concerns, but because large commercial dairies insist that small dairies somehow have a “competitive advantage” over big ones—that is, that they don’t have to install expensive infrastructure to manage waste. https://ij.org/case/oregon-small-dair...
But small dairies don’t need that infrastructure because the amount of waste generated can safely decompose in fields or be composted for other productive use. The state is wrapping small dairies in meaningless red tape just to please big dairies. That is protectionist, irrational and, moreover, unconstitutional. Sarah, and three other small farmers, are now teaming up with the Institute for Justice to file a lawsuit against the Oregon Department of Agriculture and save small dairy farms in the Beaver State.

Rubbing out the little guy. Like when mom and pop stores in my area with 10 customers at a time had to close for the plandemic, yet the local walzmart with a thousand or 2 at a time stayed open.
